Peri seemed to be holding her own quite well, she'd been eating, drinking and even flying about a little - until this morning.  She was found sitting on the floor (a really bad sign for a bird).  She was picked up and put on one of the higher shelf areas in the aviary.  That in itself was extremely unusual, as she never lets anyone touch her.

Phoned the vet and was told to bring her over to see them.  I didn't think she was going to make the journey, but she did.

Sadly, as the vet was examining her, she died in her hands.  She said that she could feel a hard lump on her insides, but the only way to be 100% sure why she died was to do an autopsy.

She was brought home and we buried her (with her 'care package') next to Maddie in the garden.

She was 10 years old.  Patchett is looking quite sad and keeps calling for her, it's heart-breaking.

Okay, can't type anymore about this.
